There are special monsters, that are called 'shiny monsters'. You will recognize them on their red outline & shine. There is a small chance to spawn a shiny monster, instead of a normal monster. What makes this monsters so special you might ask? The Shiny Monsters will be stronger, give you a lot more experience and drop better loot. The most important fact is that shiny monsters drop a very rare and special stone that is called 'Talent Shard'. Talent shards can be used to advance in a talent of your choice. You can turn them in to special NPCs, which will help you training your talents. There are currently five trainer NPCs that will help you getting stronger and more talented with different weapons or magic. Shiny monsters will spice up your hunts and make them more exciting.

Introduction

You will recognize shiny monsters by their red outline. There is a small chance a shiny version of a monster spawn. The Shiny Monsters will have more health, give you a lot more experience and drop better loot. The most important fact is that shiny monsters drop a very rare and special stone that is called 'shard'. Shards can be converted toknowledge extract and used to advance in a talent of your choice.

  • If you have the Lucky charm, you have a 10% increased chance to spawn a shiny creature on fully unlocked monsters.
  • Raids on Elderan can spawn shiny monsters
  • Bosses such as Demodras, Necropharus, ... can also be shiny and are classed as 4 (mythril)
  • Baits from the store can trigger a shiny creature (does not work on class 5 monsters)
